What Is DTF Printing?

At Nerd Shertz, we use Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing to create the vibrant, detailed designs you see on our apparel. DTF is a modern printing process that allows us to produce full-color graphics with excellent durability, flexibility, and consistency across a wide variety of garments.

This process helps us deliver bold designs, sharp details, and long-lasting prints while offering a broader range of artwork than many traditional printing methods.

How DTF Printing Works

Step 1: Design Creation

Every design begins as a high-quality digital graphic. Our artwork is prepared and optimized to ensure crisp details, vibrant colors, and accurate reproduction on your garment.

Step 2: Printing to Film

The design is printed onto a specialized transfer film using professional-grade inks designed specifically for DTF applications.

Step 3: Adhesive Application

A fine adhesive powder is applied to the printed design. This adhesive is what allows the design to permanently bond to the fabric.

Step 4: Curing

The adhesive is cured using controlled heat, creating a ready-to-apply transfer.

Step 5: Heat Press Application

The cured transfer is applied to the garment using a professional heat press. Heat, pressure, and time work together to permanently bond the design to the fabric.

Step 6: Quality Inspection

Every garment is inspected before shipment to ensure proper placement, adhesion, and overall print quality.
